RFID-MA XTEA: Cost-Effective RFID-Mutual Authentication Design Using XTEA Security on FPGA Platform

RFID systems are one of the essential technologies and used many diverse applications. The security privacy primary concern in which overcome by using suitable authentication protocols. In this manuscript, cost-effective RFID-Mutual Authentication (MA) a lightweight Extended Tiny encryption algorithm (XTEA) is designed to issues on Hardware Platform. proposed design provides two levels security, includes secured Tag identification mutual authentication.  RFID-MA mainly has Reader along with backend Server. It establishes between XTEA. XTEA Cipher block chaining (CBC) incorporated for MA purposes. process completed based challenge response XTEA-CBC. present work Verilog-HDL Xilinx environment implemented Artix-7 FPGA.  simulation synthesis results discussed hardware constraints like Area, power, time. compared existing similar approaches improvements.
